"The International Exhibition Expo Zaragoza 2008 was between June 14 and September 14, 2008. The 25 hectares along the river Ebro near Spain’s fifth-largest city, Zarazoga, hosted thematic pavilions and thematic squares plus the pavilions of more than 100 countries, all exploring the overall theme of the Expo, “Water and Sustainable Development.”

Some of favourite Expo mementoes are these spectacular images from the Portuguese Pavilion. Theming the Portuguese participation in the watery event, Lisbon-based Bak Gordon Architects envisioned a river’s ever-changing flow from its trickling source to a river mouth by the sea." The Cool Hunter

Bartek Arobal is a 25 year old illustration artist from Warsaw Poland. In his works he try to evoke a micture of sadness playfulness and beuty. 
About the draw:
"This was a commission work for a polish lifestyle and voyage magazine "Podroze". It was supposed to be a dress that i liked the most from Alexander McQueen's spring/summer 2009 collection. The model was my friend, a young polish philosopher Agnieszka Gwiazda. Her image is surrounded by leaves and other jungle features, just to accentuate the actual idea inspiration for this collection."

Mês novo!

(Ontem quando coloquei os últimos posts antes de ir sair ainda não era mês novo para mim, apesar desta velha tecnologia ser terrivelmente precisa...)

Este mês pensei em encontrar um tema para o mês todo, mas o blogue ainda está em construção e prefiro colocar posts aleatoriamente. Talvez para o próximo mês... e prometo que não será sobre o Natal.

Contudo abri o dicionário ao calhas na letra N (tenho este hábito à alguns anos com a esperança de ver se aprendo alguma coisa) e calhou:

Nicocianina, s. f. Substância extraída das folhas verdes do tabaco.

Portanto este mês colocarei uma vez por outra posts com algum fumo...

Desde muito cedo que adoro skateboards, não só a história e o design dos skates mas a actividade em si. Fascina-me o movimento e o espírito...e é por isso que partilho aqui com vocês esta parceria fantástica e muito "in Vogue" entre a doodah e os fotógrafos Claudia Knoepfel e Stefan Indlekofer. Uma prova que a moda e beleza são apreciadas em todos os sectores. A reter e para repetir...

The prove:

"Ever since Claudia Knoepfel started working in fashion her friend Matthew Lee (of „doodah“ ,a swiss skateboard/snowboard shop) has been bothering her with his wish of becoming a male model in exotic locations surrounded by beautiful girls.

Alas, she could never grant him this favour, but decided to quieten him by taking pictures of the world’s most coveted models posing with his skateboard.

The resulting photographs of the supermodels Lara Stone, Isabeli Fontana and Toni Garrn by the photographer duo Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer, who have previously worked with Vogue Paris, W, i-D, 10 are know available as a limited Skateboard Series by doodah.ch."
